Prosecutors charged an officer with the Costa Mesa Police Department with felony fraud charges last week, alleging that he lied about how he was injured when filing a workers' compensation claim.
Ryan Patrick Natividad, 30, was scheduled to be arraigned Friday at the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana on one felony count of insurance fraud and one felony count of making a fraudulent statement, the Orange County District Attorney's Office said in a press release.
