Nearly 15,000 COVID Claims Filed Through June, CWCI Data Shows

Nearly 15,000 claims for COVID-19 have been filed through the end of June, according to data included in a new tool launched by the California Workers’ Compensation Institute. The CWCI data shows 14,470 COVID claims filed through the first six months of the year. CWCI is projecting that the number could increase to about 19,000, based on claim development factors from 2019.
