Commission to Revise Rules on Forms for Large Medical Bills, Income Reporting

The North Carolina Industrial Commission is accepting public comments on rule changes that would make it easier for employers and insurers who must file forms when medical costs exceed the fee schedule, and when an injured worker belatedly reports income. Employers must file what's known as Form 19 when an employee is injured and misses a day of work, and when medical treatment exceeds the workers' compensation fee schedule by a certain amount.
