Division Extends SROI Amnesty Program Through March

Wednesday, November 29, 2017 | 0

The Division of Workers’ Compensation extended through the end of March an amnesty program intended to allow claims administrators to come into compliance with requirements for reporting Subsequent Reports of Injury data.

The amnesty program provides a variance on the requirement to submit historical SROI data electronically to the Workers’ Compensation Information System.

Twenty-nine claims administrators signed up for the amnesty program after it was launched in April, according to a presentation from an Oct. 23 WCIS advisory meeting. Another 12 administrators submitted plans and are in the process of starting to submit current SROI reports without needing to address their backlogs.

The WCIS advisory presentation noted that the amnesty program would be extended because of positive feedback and cooperation among claims administrators.

The DWC on Tuesday said administrators can sign up for the amnesty program until March 31. To sign up, send an email to WCIS@DIR.ca.gov with the subject line “Request to participate in the SROI amnesty program,” and contact information with email address in the body of the message.
