School District Worker Accused of Faking COVID-19 Symptoms

The California Department of Insurance announced that a Baldwin Park Unified School District worker who allegedly went shopping and traveled while saying her COVID-19 symptoms were so severe that she couldn’t work was charged with theft and insurance fraud. Stephanie Medrano, 33, filed a work comp claim for occupational exposure to COVID-19.
