A former Florida State Attorney candidate was found not guilty of workers’ compensation fraud, according to a report by ABC affiliate WMBB.
Greg Wilson was accused of not having workers’ compensation coverage for his workers on a project cleaning debris following Hurricane Michael. The project was run by Erosion Control Specialists, but Wilson controlled a team that reported directly to him.
After a two-day bench trial, a judge determined that Wilson was not the employer and was not required to have comp coverage.
