Hundreds of former nuclear weapons and uranium workers have attended a series of town hall meetings in Tennessee to learn about workers’ compensation benefits that might be available to them.
The meetings were hosted by Cold War Patriots, a group that advocates for the workers. The group is spreading the word that those who have suffered a work-related illness may qualify for cash compensation and medical coverage through the federal Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act.
