Zenith Files for 4% Midyear Rate Increase

Zenith Insurance Co. announced Tuesday that it has filed for a 4% rate increase in California to take effect July 1, far less than the 23.7% pure premium hike recommended by the Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau.Zenith was the first insurer to file a pure premium rate with the state Department of Insurance, although other carriers have submitted revised loss cost multipliers and other types of filings.
