Container Company Cited After Worker Is Crushed by Industrial Vehicle

Safety officials have cited an Illinois container shipping company after a newly hired worker was run over by a heavy-lift vehicle that amputated his leg and crushed his pelvis, the U.S. Department of Labor said in a news release. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration fined ITS Technologies and Logistics LLC, operating as ITS ConGlobal in Chicago, more than $156,000 for one alleged willful violation and two serious violations, the department said.
