Bill Would Return Cases to Medical Director if new Evidence Emerges

Members of the plaintiffs’ and defense bar and the Louisiana Office of Workers’ Compensation Administration’s director are seemingly in agreement that if fresh evidence emerges in a dispute over a medical director’s denial of treatment, the medical director should take a fresh look at the case. But other provisions included in House Bill 205, filed by Rep. Randal Gaines, don’t have such universal support.
