Board Releases Lists of New and Removed Providers

The Workers’ Compensation Board has removed 82 providers and added 84 on the list authorized to treat injured workers and to perform independent medical examinations. The Workers’ Compensation Law requires providers to be licensed and registered with the state Education Department to maintain board authorizations. The Education Department said the 82 providers currently do not have active licenses to practice medicine in New York, according to Subject No. 046-1018.
