As she did last year, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul commemorated 9/11 by holding a bill signing ceremony to enact legislation to benefit victims of the terrorist attack.
Hochul on Monday signed S2946/A75, requiring certain employers to notify workers about the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund and the World Trade Center Health Program.
According to the sponsor’s memo for S2946, many who are eligible to receive compensation and health care through the programs are not aware of their eligibility or the benefits available.
