Court Upholds Award to Nurse Injured in Patient Attack

The Delaware Superior Court upheld a determination that a nurse suffered a compensable neck injury that did not result in permanent impairment after being attacked by a patient. Stacy McDaniel-Wesche worked for Sun Behavioral Health as a registered nurse. She suffered injuries at work in December 2020 when she was attacked by a patient.
