State Fund Downsizing Bakersfield, Closing 4 Offices

The California State Compensation Insurance Fund will be downsizing its Bakersfield office through layoffs and is planning on closing four offices in 2012, according to a report by the Bakersfield Californian.A spokeswoman for State Fund said the carrier doesn't know the exact number of employees who will be laid off in Bakersfield. Emily Goran said employees have not been notified whether they will be laid off yet, but their last day of work could be in April, according to the Californian.State Fund's claims, policy and legal services are based in Bakersfield.
