Appeals Court Affirms Worker's Award for 'Unexplained' Injury

A Colorado appellate court upheld the award of benefits to a supermarket worker for an on-the-job injury where the cause of the injury was unknown, but not due to a preexisting condition or other personal risk. Michael Waters, an assistant manager for King Soopers, was carrying cardboard to a baler on Aug. 8, 2021, when he felt a pop in his right knee and fell to the ground.
