California’s Fraud Assessment Commission on Wednesday approved a 10% increase to an employer-funded assessment that finances prosecutors who investigate workers’ compensation fraud.
By a 4-2 vote during a remote hearing, commissioners approved raising the current aggregate assessment to $85.7 million for the 2022-23 fiscal year, up from the current level of $77.9 million.
