The timeline for Maryland’s Uninsured Employers’ Fund to start paying benefits to injured workers would be the same as it is for insurers and employers, under a bill the House of Delegates passed Tuesday.
The Maryland House voted 103-35 to pass HB 915, by Del. Andrew C. Pruski, D-Anne Arundel.
The bill would require the Uninsured Employers’ Fund to begin paying compensation within 15 days of the date an award is made or is due, the same time frame required for employers and carriers.
