New York City is attempting to modernize and upgrade the way it handles workers’ compensation claims by converting to P&C Insurance Systems’ software. Claimsvision will manage and oversee claims for the city’s 200,000 employees, according to a release from PCIS.
The New York City Law Department, which handles the city’s claims, has over 100 users managing claims operations between multiple city departments along with third-party vendors. Prior to upgrading, the city had multiple systems including manual filing for day-to-day claims.
