Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon (D) has appointed Roxanne W. McDaniel, 59, of Columbia to the State Board of Nursing for a term ending June 1, 2013.The board licenses nurses, regulates nursing education, disciplines nurses who violate the Nursing Practice Act and determines the scope of practice for nurses.McDaniel has a Ph.D. in nursing research and serves as associate dean for the undergraduate and master’s degree programs at the Sinclair School of Nursing at the University of Missouri.
