The National Council on Compensation Insurance is offering a free app for mobile phones that allows people to verify workers' compensation coverage in at least 30 states.
The Workers' Compensation Coverage Verification allows people to determine whether an employer has coverage, as well as the name of the carrier that wrote the policy and the effective dates of the policy.
The app is available for iPhones and iPads as well as Android devices.
It can be downloaded from the iTunes store here and from the Google Play Store here.
