House Approves First Responder PTSD Bill

The Oklahoma state House of Representatives passed a measure that would allow first responders to receive workers’ compensation benefits for post-traumatic stress disorder without an accompanying physical injury. Generally speaking, Oklahoma’s workers’ compensation system doesn’t cover mental injuries or illnesses unless a worker was physically injured or the victim of a violent crime.
