The Virginia Court of Appeals ruled that an injured firefighter paramedic was time-barred from pursuing applications for additional benefits more than six years after he returned to full-duty employment after fracturing his hip.
Joshua Stanton was a firefighter paramedic for the City of Virginia Beach. He fractured his hip while on duty in August 2014.
Stanton collected temporary total disability benefits until he was able to return to work, and partial disability benefits until he resumed full-duty employment.
