A bill being debated in the Massachusetts legislature would create a rebuttable COVID-19 presumption for employees who have face-to-face interaction with the public or work outside their homes.
Bill H.1986, sponsored by State Rep. Ken Gordon, D-Middlesex, would dictate that any workers in “public-facing jobs” who contract the virus are presumed to have caught it on the job and are eligible for workers’ compensation benefits, according to the Worcester Business Journal.
