The South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission will update its secure email system on April 29, the commission announced in a release. The commission had originally scheduled the update for April 11.
The WCC first implemented secure email in 2011 in order to protect the privacy of claimants’ personal information, such as their Social Security numbers. All users will be required to create a new account in the commission’s updated system in order to access encrypted emails from the commission, according to the release.
