The Louisiana Workers' Compensation Administration will hold a hearing Oct. 30 to discuss proposed changes to treatment guidelines for pain management.
The department posted new rules about the guidelines last month, and accepted written comments until Oct. 10.
The proposed changes emphasize exercise, regular re-evaluations, psychological examinations and an opioid trial period, among many other recommendations.
