As a working group of state regulators moves toward finalizing a draft report and recommendations on large-deductible workers’ compensation insurance policies, a dispute has broken out how much of an impact such policies have had on insurance carrier insolvencies.
The issue arose in written comments a National Association of Insurance Commissioners working group received on its Dec. 16 draft report. The comments were reviewed during a teleconference hosted by NAIC on Wednesday.
