The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation, in what it called the final COVID-19 results fact sheet, said carriers had reported nearly 100,000 claims and 472 fatalities as of April 30.
A little more than half of the claims (51%) and the fatalities (55%) involved first responders and correctional officers, the DWC said.
