The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has expanded its process for revisiting Medicare set-aside amounts that it has approved — a tool that’s been credited with giving workers’ comp claims another shot at settlement. CMS offers to re-review Medicare set-aside allocations if the MSA was approved but the claim has not yet settled, and cost projections for the claimant’s future medical care have changed substantially.
