MEM Chief Executive Supports Transition to Private Mutual Corporation

Missouri Employers Mutual Insurance Co. would transition from an independent public company to a private mutual corporation at the start of 2025 under recently introduced legislation the carrier’s chief executive said could improve services for policyholders. House Bill 277, by Rep. Alex Riley, R-Springfield, would direct the state-chartered carrier to file amended articles of incorporation to effect the conversion to a mutual carrier before Jan. 1, 2025.
