The New York Senate on Tuesday confirmed Gov. Kathy Hochul’s appointment of Adrienne Harris to serve as the state’s insurance and banking regulator.
Harris has been serving as acting superintendent of the New York Department of Financial Services since August 2021.
Harris served as an economic adviser to President Barack Obama before going on to work as general counsel, chief business officer and adviser at States Title Inc.
