Delaware Gov. Jack Markell has signed legislation that will change the way hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers are reimbursed for treating injured workers beginning on Jan. 1.The Delaware Office of Workers' Compensation (OWC) said Markell signed Senate Bill 238 into law on Aug. 7. The legislation deletes the requirement the fees for both inpatient and outpatient services be reimbursed at 85% of actual charges established as of Oct. 31, 2006, subject to an annual price adjustment made using the U.S. City Average for Medical Care portion of the Consumer Price Index.Beginning on Oct. 31...
