A bill has been filed in the Texas Senate that would require injured workers to be notified that they have a right to choose their treating doctor. Senate Bill 229 was filed Wednesday by Sen. Judith Zaffirini, D-Laredo. The bill would add to the notice of rights provided to an injured employee under the Texas workers' compensation system.
