OSHA Cites Painting Contractor for Lead Exposure and Fall Hazards

Exposure to lead-based paint resulted in elevated lead levels in the blood of a painting contractor's employees, prompting the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration to propose $41,580 in fines. OSHA said it cited Allied Painting Inc. of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, for six serious violations of workplace health and safety standards after inspecting its job site on the Charles M. Braga Jr. Memorial Bridge in Fall River, Massachusetts.
