David City Mayor Breaks Tie to Give Insurance Contract to LARM

A divided City Council in the town of David City, Neb. has voted to accept a low bid from the League Association of Risk Management, or LARM, for the city’s three-year general liability insurance contract. The LARM contract for $116,994 was roughly $30,000 less than proposals from two other bidders, Jones Insurance and Agency One.LARM, a self-insurance pool operated by the League of Nebraska Municipalities, has 90 members across the state. Mayor Alan Zavodny was needed to break two tie votes to award the contract to LARM.
