A Georgia contractor was sentenced to eight years of probation, and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $3,748 in restitution after pleading guilty to a premium fraud charge, the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation announced Thursday.
Gerald Swing, 43, pleaded guilty to two counts of insurance fraud in Cherokee County Superior Court, the board said. Swing, of Lithonia, Georgia, was accused of altering a certificate of insurance to show that he had a valid workers’ compensation insurance policy for GD. Swing Inc.
