The National Council on Compensation Insurance has filed with the Tennessee Department of Commerce its pure premium rate advisory for workers compensation policies, recommending a decrease of 6.3%.
The recommendation is due largely to the state's recently enacted worker's compensation reform laws.
In May, the Tennessee General Assembly approved a workers compensation reform package that was later signed by Gov. Phil Bredesen and goes into effect July 1.
