The West Virginia Supreme Court upheld the denial of a worker’s claim for a hernia injury following a slip and fall at work. Case: M.G. v. Strike LLC, No. 21-0745, 06/13/2023, published. Facts: A Strike LLC employee, identified in court documents by his initials M.G., allegedly suffered a hernia after a slip and fall in May 2018. On May 8, 2018, M.G. sought medical care for a swollen right testicle, and he reported he had felt pain the prior day while walking up a hill for work. He was diagnosed with disorders of the male genital organs and referred to the nearest emergency department...
