DWD Launches Misclassification Awareness Campaign

The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development launched an educational campaign to try to combat the practice of employers intentionally and illegally classifying employees as independent contractors. Wisconsin law presumes workers are employees unless the employer demonstrates the person meets the criteria to be designated as a contractor.
