Travelers on Thursday reported first-quarter 2011 net income of $839 million, up from $647 million reported during the same period last year.The company reported net written premiums of $5,437 billion in the first quarter, a 4% increase from the prior year quarter due to strong results in Business Insurance and Personal Insurance.
