AIG Board Names new Chairman

The American International Group Board of Directors will transfer to a new chairman on July 1. Doug Steenland, who has served on the AIG board since 2010, will take on leadership of the board on that day, the company announced in a Thursday press release. He will succeed Robert Miller, who has served as chairman for five years. AIG's corporate governance guidelines discourage chairmen from serving for more than five years.
