The average weekly wage in Massachusetts is now $1,383, up $45 from the fiscal 2018 level, state officials announced this week.
That affects the weekly compensation rate for temporary total disability benefits, set at 60% of the worker's average weekly wage, up to a maximum of 100% of the state average wage, the Department of Industrial Accidents said in a bulletin.
The wage and benefit adjustment took effect Oct. 1.
For permanent total disability, benefits are set at 66%, or two-thirds of the weekly wage.
