XL Capital Ltd
(NYSE: XL) yesterday reported net income available to
ordinary shareholders for the quarter ended September 30, 2004, of
$22.5 million, or $0.16 per ordinary share, compared with $99.0 million, or
$0.71 per ordinary share, for the quarter ended September 30, 2003.
Results
for the 2004 third quarter include the impact of a net $420.1 million after-
tax charge related to hurricane activity during the quarter.
