Perry Appoints TDI's Corna as New Injured Employee Counsel

Texas Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Jessica Corna as the state’s new Injured Employee Public Counsel, the governor’s office announced in a release. Corna is the assistant director of governmental relations at the Texas Department of Insurance and previously served as a workers’ compensation legislative liaison for TDI. She is also a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Austin Young Lawyers Association and the Junior League of Austin. Corna has a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from Indiana University.
