Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's proposed changes to the state's workers' compensation system are meeting opposition from Democratic lawmakers and employers ahead of a key committee hearing today.
Rep. Debra Kolste, D-Janesville, on May 21 wrote a letter asking the Joint Committee on Finance to strike from the governor's budget proposal provisions "that dismantle our current workers' compensation program." The letter was signed by 21 other Democrats in the state Assembly.
