Vermont Says No In-Person Hearings Until 2021; Maryland Starts Temperature Checks

Compensation agencies in two Eastern states have announced new steps to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Vermont: In-person hearings will likely be canceled at least until January, and parties should plan on using video conferencing platforms for the foreseeable future, the state's labor commissioner said in an emailed bulletin Tuesday. “Although a full reopening in 2020 remains possible, interested parties should plan as though the department will not hold any in-person formal hearings until at least January 2021,” the memo reads.
