An amended version of a bill that would codify that unpaid veterans’ organization volunteers are exempt from workers’ compensation coverage requirements garnered approval from a Missouri legislative committee.
House Bill 615, filed by Rep. Dean Dohrman, earned the approval of the House Committee on Fiscal Review by a 7-3 vote. The amended measure had previously passed the Senate by a unanimous 34-0 count.
