New Bill Would Put Asbestos Claims Back in Workers' Comp

Pennsylvania employer interests are trying again this year to put long-tail occupational disease claims back in the workers' compensation arena. House Bill 1234, introduced by Rep. Jim Cox, R-Sinking Spring, picks up where two similar bills left off when they failed to pass the General Assembly last year, and would go a step further in protecting companies and their affiliates from tort claims.
