Injured worker advocates are hoping to draw a crowd when the Division of Workers' Compensation holds its first public hearing on utilization review penalty regulations on June 29.
"The lack of oversight and enforcement up until now has proven catastrophic for many workers over the last two and half years, a situation that will continue until the regulations are finalized sometime in the fall," said Peggy Sugarman, a consultant for VotersInjuredatWork.org, in her blog on the organization's Web site.
