A flurry of year-end action on workers' compensation health care networks by the Texas Department of Insurance added seven networks to those approved in the state, bringing the total of certificates issued by the department to 27.
The department began accepting applications for networks in January 2006 under authority granted by House Bill 7, the 2005 workers' compensation reform legislation.
The applications approved were for:
* Quality Rehabilitation Services doing business as Argus Provider Network, which received authority to operate in 30 counties.
