The Texas House of Representatives delayed action Wednesday on legislation requiring compilation of employee injury data from employers who don't carry workers' compensation insurance and reporting of that information to lawmakers.
A committee substitute for House Bill 1772 by Rep. Michael Villarreal, D-San Antonio, was brought to the floor for a vote but was postponed to allow consideration of possible amendments.
The measure is expected to be brought up again today.
